JJ Vargas
At the age of five began my musical journey in the form of piano lessons with Roberto Mata, and then with piano lessons for children at the Universidad de Costa Rica. It was there that I began to expose my mind to classical music, which I have not stopped listening to since then. However, it wasn't until I heard the World and New Age music released in the 80s & 90s (Enya, Vangelis, Loreena McKennitt, Kitaro, Yanni, Sarah Brightman, etc.) that I decided to dedicate myself to music. Something in those genres awakened a creative impulse in me that led me to do similar things.

Later, I continued my piano studies with Scarlett Brebion, who, at that time, was the official pianist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Costa Rica, and I finished my studies in Music Production at VonKelemen Academy. In addition, the love for video games that I have felt for ever since I can remember ended up mixing with my passion for music, and it is now the genre of the industry that I am the most passionate about.

In my short musical career, I have released three concept albums, I have composed the music for a film, an art exhibition, and a play. I also have created music packs for video games available online, and I have done many jobs as a ghost-composer on different freelancer platforms.
​
It is time, however, to face this industry with passion and purpose and to give everything I have to this beautiful artform. Therefore, if you need musical help in a creative project (video games, film, documentary, series, etc.) do not hesitate to contact me.
